It's never too late

I have always loved music and started playing trumpet when I was about seven. Then changed to classic percussions and timpani. However, the big change was when I got my first guitar in 1982 (Electric Stratocaster copy from Aria). I started learning the new instrument by myself and my father. Eventually, he gave up, but I continued…and keep learning the guitar everyday. So it has been more than 40 years.

Strangely enough, my first bands in Finland, were playing original songs from the day one. Still, we did learn a lot of covers. The aim was always to play and do nothing else. However, when you hit 18 and you must do military service, things change. You need to do “normal things”, study and go to work…so I did.

After that, original music was forgotten and we just played covers for fun. in 2006 I moved to Bangkok and continued playing in cover bands here.

When Covid hit, I stayed home (like we all) and decided that now I have time to re-record my own music. I had done few songs in the beginning of the 1990’s. As I cannot sing, one of my band mates agreed to help me and Cho sang the demos.

After listening the demos, I was still not happy. Using a drum machine and playing bass myself…it just did not feel right. So I asked other band mates to help and so I got Jane to do bass and Raphael played the drums.

As I am an old timer rocker, I wanted Raphael to act as a producer as well, as he is younger and has better ears than me.

Thank you Cho, Jane and Raphael for your help and excellent performances.
